this episode is strictly anime-only... manga does NOT over-dramatize things like that... and Tamaki's and Kyoya's dads are way OOC... Eclaire doesnt even exist in the manga...

not a fan of this ep.. alot of them are terribly OOC in this...

it would have been better if they'd just stuck to the manga like they had been doing and done the whole Football Club vs Host Club competition to see who would win rights to the main hall, in a prelude to the Festival instead of all this emo nonsense..

Considering this is the manga I have... Yeah.

Though I don't think Tamaki's father is way OOC, since there is some degree of them having similar personalities... Though Kyoya's dad is OOC.

And as for why they changed it... Well, these are the last two episodes of the anime. They have to wrap it up somehow, which means deviating from the manga.

they could have still done it without going all emo-angst... as someone said, they could have kept the Festival for the the last ep, incl the back-story for Tamaki and done the whole Football vs Host for this one... and they could have ended with Haru saying her "i'm glad Tamaki is Tamaki" line...

this ep just... gyeh...
