Pin case is finished!
Aug. 25th, 2007 08:38 pmI finished the pin case today! I bought sheet protectors yesterday and then felt today and cut the felt while at the family's garage sale, then glued them in when I got home.
And for more pictures. Hee...

The pins on the outside are ones my uncle got from the animal shelter for bringing in stray cats. He's caught 39 so far. (He also hates cats, and I don't understand that, because I love cats.) The Disney tag was one of two sent with all of mine and
niteflite's tickets and stuff for Disneyland, to put on our luggage. The airport people lost hers on the way up there, but I managed to hang onto mine, and now it's on my pin case!

Pretty insides! I have a lot of room in there to grow. There's currently 10 of the felt/protector sheets, and I'm only using two right now. The top one (shown here) is the princess page. The pins on the pocket on the left side will probably end up switching places with the cat-food-themed pins when I go to swap meets (if any go on that
niteflite drags me to) or if I go to one of the Disney parks.

And the others-page. And both of these pages are pins I want to keep. Once I get my mystery lot from eBay, I'll have a third page with pins available for trading. And you can kinda see where the hot glue gun glue warped the plastic a bit. Oh well, it holds on tight, though!
Also, if anyone feels the need to make these for themselves? Get sheet protects that are not attached to one another. Trust me. I didn't noticed these were all on one three-hole plastic bit until after I had bought them and gotten in the car. And trying to cut ten sheets at once? a huge mess. And it made it harder to glue the felt in, too. However, overall it's good to know that the idea itself works, and I probably will make more pages to replace these ones. ...Eventually.
