On a faux-angsty note...

WHY did my brother's Transformer toys gave to go MIA??? I just found a picture from his 5th birthday where he's triumphantly holding up a Kup toy! *sobs* And there's other pictures elsewhere with him with other TF toys.

...At least I have the blanket. And he's not getting it back! >:D

When we were kids, my brother had a bunch of TF toys - this was mid-80's. But my dad is retired Air Force and we were stationed overseas in Germany at the time. There was a weight limit as to what the military would move. Your entire household had to be under a certain total weight amount, so we got rid of a BUNCH of things before we came back stateside in 1988.

Unfortunately, my brother's Transformers toys were a casualty of that move. I was always kinda sad, but in the past two years since getting into TF's for real (we didn't get the cartoon over there, just the toys =/), I've REALLY lamented those original figures. My brother and I were the kind to take care of our toys - didn't break them, rarely lost /anything/, things like that. What my parents still have has been well-loved and played with but is in REALLY good condition.

So LOL yeah, I hear ya, man! XD

My brother had all of his over at his mother's place... And then they vanished during one of her many moves. Might have gotten left behind in an attic or something. We're not really sure. :/ But according to my dad, he had a bunch. (And he was born in '81, so really was in the target age group when they were coming out.)

We found his old blanket in the back of a closet one day after I got into them when I was in middle/high school. The binding ribbon needs to be redone and it's a bit faded, but is in otherwise good condition.
