I found out why there's no knitting club on campus! It's 'cause there's a knitting HOUSE! ^_^ They (K.A.S.A.) had their first program this evening (Thursday night), and I went to it. It was mostly teaching people how to knit, but there we a few of us there that knew how to knit. I ended up spending about half the time I was there teaching this one left-handed girl how to knit continental-style.
I can hardly believe I was one of the most advanced knitters there. Some of the knitters who lived in the house and had been knitting for years only knew how to make scarves...
Anyways, they were giving away yarn from their stash, which was mostly awful acrylic, but I found this one skein of 100% baby alpaca that I snagged. It looks to be the same weight as my Jazz yarn, so I might use those two in combination. ^_^
